My name is Eric “Catfish” Zettner. I’m a U.S. Navy Gulf War veteran, born and raised in the outskirts of Las Vegas, NV in 1968. Growing up, all my friends had dirtbikes, but Mom said I couldn’t have one. So being my resilient and stubborn self, I saved my paper delivery money and bought a Honda 50 at the age of 12. A few years later I upgraded to a Suzuki RM80 and rode the hell out of that. When my legs got longer, I picked up a Suzuki RM125, and Mom still wasn’t having it. At the age of 16, I bought my first street bike, a Honda CX500 and made the huge mistake of letting a friend ride it through a fence. Goodbye Honda. The silver lining was picking up my first brand new street bike which my Mom cosigned for! It was a 1985 Honda Shadow 500. Me and a friend, Weasel took one of many long road trips. That’s where it all really started for me. Couldn’t get enough of the road. Several bikes later, and a move to Southern Idaho, I now ride a 2009 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic. With my buddies, affectionately called “Scumbags”, I make it a point to ride all over the Continental U.S. and Canada during the warmer months.
